Windows 11 will suck ass.

Microsoft unveils another release of their OS.

Microsoft is releasing a new OS named Windows 11 in late 2021 as a replacement for Windows 10. Here's what I think of it.

Windows 11 will contribute to a lot of e-waste. Many machines still do not have TPM, DirectX 12 support, UEFI/Secure Boot or 64-bit processors and cannot be upgraded.

Windows 11 will leave a lot of machines stuck on Windows 10, and vulnerable to security exploits after 2025. There isn't really a way around this without installing a different operating system.

The new Windows 11 taskbar/start menu/file explorer will leave out many features and break a lot of customizations, again. It's also confusing to look at in general if you are used to how Windows has always behaved (left-aligned buttons and vertical list menus).

All Windows users will eventually be forced to use Windows 11 at some point, due to how Microsoft purposely and arbitrarily ends support and refuses to backport features and fixes to older releases. Not to mention the deals with vendors and manufacturers that force people to the newest release.

I can't say I'm a fan.
